PAA T-SHIRT CONTEST

Hello all you creative, artistic, alumni!

We know some of you are artistically gifted. We know PAA needs some fresh shirts!

So ... let's have a T-SHIRT CONTEST!!!
Submit your design for a new Pilipino Alumni Association (PAA) -shirt.

For questions, please contact Cynthia Antonio at
cynthia@uclapaa.net.
Submit your design to cynthia@uclapaa.net by 11:59 PM on Sunday March 22, 2009.

Here are the guidelines and other info you need to know in order to create and submit your entry in the PAA T-Shirt Design Contest.

Design Guidelines

  • Your design can be inspired by PAA's general love for culture, community, Pilipinos, fun. See our website for more ideas: www.uclapaa.net.
  • Your design should include the words "Pilipino Alumni Association" somewhere on the design. Best not to have other words, though that's not a hard and fast rule.
  • The design could just be the name of the organization in a special font.
  • The shirt should be something that someone would want to wear even if they don't know about PAA. In short, universally esthetically pleasing.
  • Try not to use the PAA original logo. If you want to include a logo of your own design, that's great!
  • You may submit as many designs as you like.
  • Your design must be wholly original. By submitting a design you are guaranteeing that you hold rights to everything in it, and that it does not contain any copyright material. This is really important. It will keep you from being sued.

Design Specifications

  • It's best if you create your design in Photoshop or Illustrator or another professional design program. If you use another means to make your design, you must be prepared to provide print-ready files of the design should you win. But your submission will be a PDF.
  • Your design should contain a maximum of two (2) colors (shirt color is the 4th color).
  • Your design can only be on the FRONT of the shirt, and must fit within the printable area of 16" wide x 18" high rectangular area.
  • Your design will be printed on a navy blue colored shirt. Your design should incorporate and/or coordinate with this color.
  • Your submission should be a PDF file no larger than 5MB. If you win we will ask you for the high resolution files.

Submission Agreement

  • You must be 18 years or older to submit. If you're younger you can still make a design, but it must be submitted on your behalf by a parent or guardian.
  • Any submitted design becomes the sole property of Pilipino Alumni Association of UCLA.
  • PAA will have all rights to the winning design. By submitting you agree that if your design wins, it can be used by PAA on a T-Shirt and on any other future promotional items forever.
  • The winner will receive a prize of:
    • 1 Year Gold Level PAA Membership, including T-Shirt and membership package (value: $50)
    • 1 Ticket to this year’s PAA Annual Fundraising Benefit + VIP Reception access (value: $100)
    • 2 Tickets to PAA's 2009 Annual Tailgate
    • 1 $50 Gift Card to the UCLA Store
  • We reserve the right to make minor adjustments to the winning design.
  • You must submit your design via email by 11:59 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2009.
  • Entries will be judged by the PAA board and approved by the UCLA Alumni Association.

So get crackin' like a chiccharon! We know the results will be amazing!

Your friends,
PAA

Loan Modifications: Learn How to Avoid Foreclosure and Save Your Home - Thursday, 3/5/09

~ Hosted by PAA, sponsored by The Alex Group & The Law Offices of Michael J. Jaurigue ~

Having trouble making your mortgage payments?
Are you living paycheck to paycheck?
Do you have a negative amortization loan?
Is your interest rate going to adjust in the near future?
Is the bank threatening to foreclose on your home?

Learn about the loan modification process, requirements and obtaining reasonable and affordable long-term solutions with your lender. Unless you know how to deal with your lender and navigate through its complex and often confusing administrative system, you will likely not succeed in attempting to modify your mortgage -- over 80 percent of homeowners who attempt to modify loans on their own are denied.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! Through a loan modification, you may:
- Lower your interest rate and thereby reduce your monthly payment;
- Reduce your principle balance on your loan;
- Convert your adjustable rate mortgage to a fixed rate for the life of your loan;
- Convert your negative amortization loan to a conventional fixed-rate loan;
- Extend the term of your loan, so that your monthly payments are reduced.

If you’re interested in learning more about loan modifications, please contact us today to reserve your seat. (Seating is limited)
